September 20, 2012, receiption at Microsoft Vienna. Reason: Vienna based IMC Alumnis meeting in privacy Georg Obermeier. – Georg Obermeier is the General Manager of Microsoft Austria. Meeting in privacy means that the number of participants was limited to 30 participant. The reason being to allow in depth exchange of thoughts and experiences with a leading manager of the Austrian economy. And indeed, Georg Obermeier shared his experiences becoming the General Manager of Microsoft in an unplugged/authentic way. The end result was real quality time for all involved: the IMC Alumnis, Georg Obermeier, Microsoft managers and employees present as well as for IMC representatives attending, as to especially mention Ulrike Prommer and Karl Ennsfellner.
Big but not unexpected surprise of that meeting: The Microsoft office is as unusual and innovative as the Austria press reports. Whoever wants to experience the Microsoft office as well, book an office tour here:
6.000 people already did since the opening of this new office in October 2011.
A next CEO Alumni event in Vienna is in preparation. Stay tuned or contact me, if you want to find out more:

H.E. Eugenio Maria Curia, Ambassador of Argentina to Austria gave a speech to IMC Krems export students
H.E. Prof. Dr. Curia speeking with IMC export students in a very personal way.
As the second in-house lecture for this semester, on the 22nd March 2012, the IMC Krems welcomed H.E. Prof. Curia, Ambassador of Argentina to Austria for a guest speech.
After a warm welcome, Ambassador opened his absorbing speech in the historic Baroque hall, by briefly elaborating on the Argentine’s history, then on the economic, political, educational and cultural currents of this Latin American country. The eloquent and outspoken guest speaker, he himself a former university professor then continued with the Argentine’s role and positions in the main global and regional organizations, referring also to the polar issues and the territorial dispute with Britain over the Malvinas/Foklands archipelago.
The official part of this event was closed with a very lively Q&A session, family photo and the little cocktail – an opportunity for students to address further questions to H.E. Ambassador Curia in equally informative but rather informal setting.
The guest lecture of H.E. Prof. Dr. Curia was the 96th event, and the 6th in the so-called Latina American series, organized under the auspices of the Chairman Prof. Dr. Anis Bajrektarevic.
